Charging at a Sun Country Highway Station

Sun Country Highway EV Charging Stations are owned and operated by the host location. You do not require an app or account to use these EV Charging Stations; in most cases you can simply plug in and charging should begin.

If you have any questions on usage, we recommend first checking in with the owners / operators of the EV Charging Stations as they may have restrictions or some form of payment requirements. Who should I contact if the station isn't working?

If you have any questions on usage, we recommend first checking in with the owners/operators of the EV Charging Stations.

These EV Charging Stations are not owned by Sun Country Highway. If we receive a report, we will contact the owner of the EV Charging Stations and make every effort to work with them in resolving the issue.

How do I troubleshoot if the station isn't working?

  1. Review signage to see if there are any access control or payment systems in place
  2. Notify the host location
  3. Contact our technical support team
Is the “thunk” or “click” noise I hear when I first connect the EVSE to my car normal?

Yes, it is. It is the sound of the contactor (switch) pulling in to allow power to flow to the car.

When EVSE has a fault (any red fault light(s) illuminated) will this harm my EV or EVSE?

A fault light on the EVSE indicate that the EVSE encountered a fault condition and as a result has prevented any power transfer to the vehicle. This is not harmful to either the EV or the EVSE, but if the lights do not stop after resetting it could mean something is wrong with the supply power or internally with the EVSE. It is recommended to contact Sun Country technical support if a fault does not clear after resetting the station and connection to the vehicle.

My connector is stuck in my car.
